Alexa Voice-Activated Rain Bird Skill – New App Update

to use voice activated control, you need a Rain Bird timer, the LNK WiFi, and Alexa There is a new update to the Rain Bird App, which enables Rain Bird Skill by Amazon. It is now available at the Apple App Store and Google Play. With this Skill, end users can link ESP-TM2 and ESP-Me (more information on that below) controllers to their Alexa using the LNK WiFi Module and their Amazon account. With 130 different commands, Rain Bird offers unique features incorporating custom program and zone names while enabling inquiries into irrigation time remaining, rain sensor status, and seasonal adjustment values. Through the years, one of our most popular product lines has always been the WASHLET. In case you are unfamiliar, a WASHLET is a bidet toilet seat made by one of the most reputable and innovative manufacturers in the business, TOTO. We are so happy to introduce our customers to the new TOTO S500e and S550e WASHLETs! The new models include (in cotton white):

All 4 of these options are offered both in Sedona beige or cotton white and with the WASHLET+ concealed connection feature. If you are familiar with TOTO products, WASHLET+ is essentially the same thing as Connect+, except it’s a T40 connection that is compatible with WASHLET+ toilets.

All of these options are intended for elongated toilet installations. It’s been a few years since the S300e and S350e were released, so we are super excited to have a new addition to the collection. Unlike past updates, the S500e and S550e are actually replacing their predecessors. Soon enough, you will not be able to by the S300e and S350e (but the C100, C200, A100, and A200 will still be available). If you haven’t had experience with a WASHLET before, you should know that they are easy to install and offer simplicity with their convenient user experience.

New Elkay Fireclay Farmhouse Sinks

There are two new Elkay fireclay farmhouse sinks here at PlumbersStock. We’ve carried the original two for a while and they were such a hit that Elkay followed them up with more variety. Also commonly referred to as apron-front sinks, farmhouse sinks are in style and they are also very functional.

The two new additions to the collection are:

Single bowl Fireclay farmhouse sink – this is Elkay model # SWUF3320WH. The dimensions are 24-3/8″ x 19-5/8″ x 10-1/8″.
Double bowl Fireclay farmhouse sink w/ Aqua Divide – this is Elkay model # SWUF2520WH. The dimensions are 33″ x 20″ x 10-1/8″. This installation comes with a wood-cutting board. Of course this one comes in biscuit, too.

And the models we already had in stock include:

Wide single bowl Fireclay farmhouse sink and there is a biscuit option. The dimensions are 29-7/8″ x 19-3/4″ x 10-1/16″.
Equal double bowl Fireclay farmhouse sink and in this case, there is a biscuit option as well. The dimensions are 33″ x 19-15/16″ x 10-1/8″.

Hero Plumber: Stephen Willeford Takes on TX Church Shooter

The tragedy endured by the congregation at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, yesterday sadly reminds us all that evil exists in this world. Here, we will not mention the name of the shooter; we will refer to him as shooter. His name does not deserve to be known. Instead of focusing on the negative, we choose to focus on the positive aspects of society that these sorts of tragedies can simultaneously reveal.

Stephen Willeford is a 55-year-old retired plumber with no military experience. He lives near the church and was at home napping when his daughter informed him of the active shooter situation. With nothing to gain and no shoes on his feet, Willeford grabbed his rifle and went to the church to take on the shooter. They reportedly exchanged gunfire, with the shooter being wounded by a shot that pierced his body armor. The shooter dropped his Ruger, then entered his vehicle and sped off.

Willeford jumped into Johnnie Langendorff’s (another local hero who showed up to help) pickup truck, and they pursued the shooter at speeds up to 95 MPH. The shooter lost control of his vehicle, crashed, and then took his own life.
