Yes, this elbow can be used on a 10-inch outlet of a wood-burning stove or on a wood-burning insert within a Masonry Fireplace. However, the majority of inserts come with an 8-inch or 6-inch outlet, rather than a 10-inch one. You can use stainless steel for the masonry application but the 10DBK-E45 made of cold rolled steel will still function appropriately. If your insert's outlet is actually a 6-inch round, we recommend buying a 6DBK-E45SS Stainless elbow. Also, avoid fitting a 10-inch single wall elbow to the exterior of an insulated chimney.
