How to install the battery?

Hey, there! Thank you for your inquiry about the Irritrol RD1200-EXT-R outdoor controller. To install the battery in the controller, follow these steps: First, open the controller door. Next, open the control module by gripping the right edge (press the module release tab on the outdoor model). Then, locate the battery compartment at the top of the control module. Next, press down and outward on the cover to remove it. Then, connect the battery clip to the supplied 9V alkaline battery. Lastly, store the battery in the compartment and reinstall the cover. The display will start flashing at 12:00 AM (press any button to stop the flashing). Feel free to check page 4 of this user guide for more information.
