Moen Chrome Part Dome Kit - 141797

Hi! Thank you for posting your query on the Moen 141797 dome kit. To install this dome, you need to turn off the water supply valves. Uninstall the old dome by first, loosening the setscrew with a 3/32” Hex wrench into the hole in the handle. Then, you have to rotate the dome to a 90-degree turn counter-clockwise and pull it out of the faucet. Once you have removed the old dome, you can install the new dome by rotating and pushing the cartridge stem down making the two flat sides up and down. Afterwhich, you will need to set the two recessed cutouts with the two plastic tabs on the white ring on the inside of the dome and slide the dome onto the valve body. Rotate the dome to a 90-degree turn clockwise making the oblong hole point downward after rotation. Lastly, insert the handle onto the stem cartridge and tighten the loose screw from earlier. What you need is the Moen 141797SRS (Spot Resist Stainless version), which is not yet available at PlumbersStock.
