To configure it to a normally open state, first, using a pair of pliers, remove the tube from on inlet side from the normally close port of the solenoid (careful not to damage the barb fittings). Next, remove the tube on the outlet side from the normally open port of the solenoid. Then, cut off about a ⅛” of both tubings. Next, attach the tube on the inlet side to the normally open port. Then, attach also the tube on the outlet side to the normally closed port. Lastly, heat the tubing on the barb fitting to secure it. You may also check this video for more detailed instructions.
