1 Inch CPVC Pipe, 5 Foot Length. The pipe measures 1 Inch nominal size and is sold in 5 Foot Lengths, which makes it great for smaller applications that require a shorter distance of pipe. It is important to note that this tubing will use 1 inch CPVC fittings for all necessary connections. In order to attach the pipe and fittings together, a process called ?solvent welding? is required. This is achieved by using both CPVC Glue and Primer. CPVC pipe has a glaze-like finish and the use of primer will take that glaze off allowing for the pieces of pipe to be connected properly. Not using primer can result in the cracking and breaking of CPVC connections. CPVC Pipe is commonly used in corrosive fluid handling, fire suppression (sprinkler) and potable water distribution. The pipe differs from regular PVC in that it can handle higher corrosive water temperatures (104 ? 122 degrees Fahrenheit). NOTE: Due to shipping regulations five foot sections is the maximum length shipped in straight pipe. If Longer lengths are required coiled pipe is another available option . 1" CPVC Pipe Sold and shipped in 5 foot lengths
