As we've already indicated, easy programming is probably the most important feature with the ESP4MEI. The single-controller keeps things simple. Delayed watering is a great option if you've had rain or if you're hosting a party and want dry grass. Conversely, if you have a Rain Sensor, you may not want it to trigger for certain areas of the yard. Say one station is found under cover of a deck or an eve, you can set that particular station to bypass Rain Sensor directives.

Other popular features include seasonal adjustment by program. Another is the Run Time Calculator which will allow you to track usage to comply with water restrictions or to ensure waterings are finished by a specific time. One-Touch Watering allows you to manually run your sprinklers with the quick touch of a button. There are two problem-prevention features: it can self-detect programming errors, and it also has Contractor Default where the original programs that are set up can be recovered if they are overwritten in error.

This controller is compatible with the Rain Bird LNK WiFi module (sold separately). With a recent update to the mobile app, you can integrate your Wifi Module with Amazon Alexa for voice-activated control of your timer.
