Dies have notches designed into them that will click into position inside the die head with its spring balls that catch the die and allow the operator to easily know when the dies are correctly installed in the Universal Die Head. And the die blades are designed with a two-step cut method which provides a very stable bite into the pipe, allowing any external coating to be removed as the pipe is cut at the same time. Dies from RIDGID are marked for easy identification of the type of pipe and the sizes they are designed to cut for easy identification.
