6 Inch Bell Joint Restraint, Ductile Iron Construction. This particular product is a Pipe Restraint manufactured by Star Pipe and is for use with many PVC applications. The restraint is for use with 6 inch piping or fittings. It is even with compatible with many Mechanical Joint and Push-On fitting applications. The restraint has a Ductile Iron construction which makes it an extremely durable accessory for piping systems and allows it to be buried underground if necessary. Its main job is to provide restraint from any outside forces from the outside of the piping and to prevent separation of the pipe to the fitting. The restraint has a 360 degree coverage when it is placed on the pipe allowing it to “hug” to the surface securely. For easy installation, it can be installed about ground (out of the trench) giving you more room to adjust and secure the restraint. Once again the restrainers work with PVC, Push-On and Mechanical Joint fittings.
