This particular fitting is an Adapter Fitting for Ductile Iron Pipe applications that features a Mechanical Joint x Flange connection design. An adapter is an important fitting as it is used in order to connect two sections of iron pipes or fittings together. The adapter has 8 inch connections on either side.
