The use of Radio-Frequency(RF) and capacitive technology is what sets the coveted American Standard 4000.709.020 touchless toilet tank apart from other brands. This sensor measures 2.5", is circular, and can be installed on the wall or on top of the toilet tank, or anywhere that's within 3' of the toilet. Because of this, a touchless flush is possible with just a wave of the hand! You only need to wave your hand for around 2 seconds within 1" to 1.5" distance to the sensor face. It assures 1-year battery life (3AAA and 4AA batteries are included) averaging up to 12 flushes at 1.28 gpf per day. 

Inside this American Standard toilet tank, you will find a 3" flush control tower assembly with an integrated fill valve and an in-line filter. It has a beautiful pearly white finish with a factory-installed chrome flush button. For a seamless look, the control module plugs into the flush connector and then clips to the filter line. The electronics inside are totally water-proof and even made safer with a potted circuit board and O-ring sealed housings. 

This toilet tank replaces American Standard ActiVate toilet tanks such as the American Standard 4188A.104.020 toilet tank and the American Standard 4000.101.020 Cadet 3 toilet tank.
