The Moen 15440 is a Commercial vandal proof box with a thermostatic mixing valve. It is equipped with cold and hot check valves to keep possible backflow out of the water supply inlets. With its stainless steel internal strainer, this Moen 15440 is safe against line trash. This vandal proof box with a thermostatic mixing valve has 1/2-inch copper connections and 1/4 turn stops. It is factory-preset at 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celcius). The thermostatic mixing valve is of all-brass construction. It has an adjustable temperature control cartridge. It is adjustable from 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celcius) to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celcius) with a plus or minus 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (plus or minus 2 degrees Celcius) temperature accuracy. The maximum working pressure is 125 psi (861 kPa) and the minimum is 20 psi (138 kPa). It has a maximum flow rate of 4.9 gallons per minute (18.6L/min) and a minimum of 0.35 gallons per minute (1.3L/min). The cold water supply is 39 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celcius) to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celcius). On the other side, the hot water supply is 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celcius) to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celcius).
